At PotashCorp, it's our business to help things grow. As the world's leading producer of three primary crop nutrients - potash, nitrogen and phosphate - we help farmers around the globe meet the world's increasing demand for food.

We know that good ideas often need a boost to transform into great projects and programs. That's why we support a wide array of initiatives, big and small, wherever we operate.

Our Community Investment Program

It's a continuing goal of PotashCorp to be a responsible member of our communities. By supporting projects and initiatives that reflect the goals and values of our company, we aim to improve the quality of life in our communities in a sustainable way.

PotashCorp follows a best practice approach to business and looks favorably on projects that build upon experience to create innovative solutions.

Concepts, commitment and creativity

Community projects grow from the concepts, commitment and creativity of individuals determined to make a difference. PotashCorp's Community Investment Program provides the financial support to help these projects succeed.

In a world where many people still struggle to access adequate, nutritious food on a daily basis, we are particularly committed to food security issues.

We have six priority areas:

  • Arts and Culture
  • Community Building
  • Education and Training
  • Environmental Stewardship
  • Food Security
  • Health and Wellness

Apply for funding

PotashCorp receives many worthwhile funding requests each year. Unfortunately, we cannot support all of them. Our Community Investment Committee reviews all applications regularly and determines which requests best match our objectives for this program.

To ensure all organizations have an opportunity for support, we ask that you apply only once per project, per calendar year. Please submit your request well in advance (at least two to three months) of when it's needed.

The request should come directly from the organization that will benefit from the funding.

Note: PotashCorp' s program generally does not provide assistance to individuals, fraternal or religious causes, political parties, organizations in conflict with PotashCorp's interests and values and film/video productions.

All requests must be made online, this gives us the relevant information about your initiative and allows us to fully evaluate your proposal. We suggest reviewing all the questions through the printable form, as you will not be able to go back and make revisions after submission. In order for all of the questions to appear on the printable form you must complete the project or event section and select the type of support you are requesting in the profile section. You will have four (4) hours to complete and submit your application. Upon submission of your application you will receive and email confirmation, including a PDF copy of your application. If we have questions regarding your application we will contact you at the telephone number or email address you have provided.

Thank you for considering PotashCorp as a potential sponsor.  We wish you success.
